New Product: O.C.H. Miniature Circular Connector

TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in connectivity and sensors, introduced its O.C.H. miniature circular connectors based on standards set by the U.S. Knight Warrior program. TE's round connectors, designed to meet these stringent performance requirements, are now the second source of the Knight Warrior connector license for the Knight Warriors system and peripherals.

The Knight Warriors program was created to connect ground soldiers directly to the military's tactical network via instant messenger. Engineers are working hard to make these communications devices smaller and lighter, to relieve the extra weight on the backs of soldiers. The U.S. military also requires compliance with certain mechanical and performance standards, including the MIL-STD-810G.

In addition to the above specifications, TE's O.C.H. miniature circular connectors feature break-away couplings for fast connections and single-action disconnect required in battlefield environments. The lightweight aluminum case and thermoplastic insert provide a small, rugged package that is ideal for soldiers who wear applications.
