TE News: Delux DMC-MD single module connector is EN4165 certified

September  6, 2017 - TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in connectivity and  sensors, announces that its DECK DMC-MD single-module connectors,  accessories and modules are EN4165 certified, the most stringent in the  avionics industry One of the specifications, is also an independent recognition of connector quality and performance.

Originally  invented by the TE in the 1980s, the DMC-MD Single Modular Connector  has evolved into one of the most commonly used connectors for cockpit  applications in commercial aviation, including in-flight entertainment  and lighting systems. Delux DMC-MD connectors provide a modular, versatile and reliable system. The connector provides multi-cavity and single-module configurations,  using the same module in each arrangement, providing a compact,  lightweight connection.

With  its modular, space-saving / weight and ruggedized features, the  connector continues to be of interest to users of other applications,  including military aircraft and land vehicles. In addition, the connector has been developed to include composite  housings, aluminum wire capabilities, fiber optics, higher density,  speed and shunt configurations.
